Augustins no 9 is a moderated version of Augustins' older children's design Birkebluse – the focus has therefore been on conveying its characteristic neckline with bow ribbon, wide width of the bodice, and the roundness of the back.

As a new addition, the sleeves in this edition have been designed to be puffed and the neckline has been given a folded picot edge. Overall, it creates a nice and light blouse that, with its timeless expression, will fit well into any capsule wardrobe.

Size: a (b) c (d) e (f) g (h).

Overall width: 80 (90) 100 (110) 120 (130) 140 (150) cm.

Full length, measured MF below the neckline: Approx. 52 (54) 56 (58) 60 (62) 64 (66) cm.

Room for movement: This blouse is designed to have a wide room for movement from the middle of the yoke down. The room for movement is approx. 20-30 cm depending on your waist. Use your own measured waist as a starting point and let this determine which size you knit.

Knitting tension: 16 mx 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stocking stitch.

Needle: Circular needle size 4.5 + 5 + 6 mm (40/60/80 cm).

Yarn: The blouse is knitted with 2 threads:

1st strand: New Zealand lamb wool, G-wool (450 metres/100 grams).

2nd thread: Soft Silk Mohair, Knitting For Olive (225 meters/25 grams).

Yarn quantity:

1st thread: 150 (200) 250 (300) 350 (400) 450 (450) grams.

2nd thread: 75 (100) 125 (150) 175 (200) 225 (225) grams.

Accessories: A wide bow ribbon for the neckline. The model shown uses a ribbon with a width of 6 cm and a length of 200 cm, but any ribbon can be used.

Work: The blouse is first knitted back and forth from top to bottom in stockinette stitch with a folded neckline with picots, into which a wide loop band is inserted to close the blouse at the back. Increases are worked in the middle of the yoke, while the rest of the piece is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch. The body is knitted longer at the back using the German short rows technique. The sleeves are puffed and have the same folded edges as the body.
