Fritidsgarn is a carded yarn that is 100% Norwegian. Everything from the wool being washed to the finished skein happens at our factory at Foss Eikeland in Sandnes.

Garments made from Norwegian wool feel light, warm and become softer with each use. Norwegian wool is durable, pilling-resistant and has very good elasticity, which means that garments retain their shape and form over time. Be considerate of the environment; wool breathes and rarely needs washing; we recommend that the garment be aired. Garments made from Norwegian wool have a long lifespan and can be just as beautiful for several generations. This means that Norwegian wool can be part of a more sustainable consumption. Carded yarn is well suited for felting.

We recommend that all wool garments knitted in Fritidsgarn are hand washed. Be careful not to soak the garments as this can cause color transfer. Spin well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to pill.
