Guiding pins

Circular needles 4 and 5 mm (40 and 80 cm).

Double pointed needles 4 mm. If you use magic loop, you don't need double pointed needles.

Knitting strength

18 mx approx. 24 rows stockinette stitch = 10 x 10 cm on 5 mm needles.

Note: Everything is knitted with 2 strands of yarn, 1 strand of each quality.

Construction

The sweater is knitted from the top down. The neckline is double and knitted together. After the neckline, the pattern is worked in reverse order so that the neckline is deeper at the front. Then knit the round yoke with pattern and increases (both parts are shown in the diagram). Then knit raglan increases before knitting the body and sleeves separately.

Size selection

The Peacock Jumper is intended to have a range of motion (positive ease) of approximately 12-18 cm. It is shown here with a range of motion of approximately 15 cm.

Find your personal chest measurement by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements first in the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater's measurement. For example, if your chest measurement is 94 cm, a size M will give you a range of motion of 13 cm (107 cm – 94 cm = 13 cm). *Length is measured at the center back, not including the neckline.
