From top to bottom:
First, cast on stitches for the back piece, which is worked back and forth with reverse needles to form sloping shoulders. The back piece is worked back and forth until it reaches under the sleeves. Then, knit stitches for each of the front pieces, which are worked back and forth with increases for the neck, before being knitted together. The front piece is worked back and forth until it reaches under the sleeves, before being joined to the back piece. The piece is worked in the round with the pattern according to the diagram, before being finished with a rib. Knit stitches around the armholes for the sleeves, which are worked in the round with the pattern according to the diagram, before being worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a rib. The neckline is finally knitted.
From bottom to top:
First, cast on stitches for the front and back piece. Knit rib in the round, before knitting the pattern according to the diagram. When the diagram is finished, bind off for armholes and finish knitting the front and back piece separately. Knit the sleeves in the round from the bottom up with the pattern according to the diagram. Knit the neckline last.
KNITTING GAUGE: 16 stitches in stocking stitch on needle size 5 = 10 cm, 16 stitches and 20 rows in pattern stitch on needle size 5 = 10 cm
