Construction

Heather Hood is knitted in one piece from the bottom up. First the rib on the back piece is knitted and then the rib on the front piece. Then it is knitted in the round up to the beginning of the opening. From here the hood is knitted back and forth. There are decreases on each side of the opening at the bottom, and at the top there are decreases mid back. Finally, the stitches are knitted together using a 3-needle decrease, and a rib edge is knitted around the opening.
