Range of motion: The range of motion for this cardigan is approx. 25-35 cm depending on your/their waist size. Use your/their own measured waist size as a starting point when choosing your size, and let this determine which size you knit. If your/their waist size is between 2 sizes, it is recommended to choose the smallest size for this model.
Knitting gauge: 14 mx 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 7 mm needles in twisted rib.
Needle: Circular needle 6 + 7 mm (lengths 60 and 80 are recommended).
Yarn: “Hyrdegarn”, Hjelholts Uldspinderi (125m per 100g).
Yarn quantity: 800 (850) 900 (950)g.
Accessories: 3 (3) 4 (4) buttons with a diameter of approximately 2-3 cm, 1 needle for assembly.
Work: The cardigan body is knitted back and forth according to the pattern repeat, starting with the back piece and ending with the 2 front pieces. Around the edge of the neck and front pieces, pick up stitches to knit the final i-cord button band. Pick up stitches along the front and back piece on each side for the sleeves, and then knit these in the round according to the pattern repeat. Finally, sew the sides of the body together with backstitch and sew on buttons and form buttonholes.
