The jacket is knitted from the top down. First, cast on stitches for the back piece. The back piece is knitted back and forth to under the sleeves. Then, knit stitches on each shoulder for the right and left front pieces. Increase stitches for the v-neck and knit each front piece under the sleeves before knitting them together with the back piece. Knit the front and back pieces back and forth and finish with rib. Knit stitches around each armhole for the sleeves. Knit the sleeves in the round and fold in to make a narrower sleeve at the end, before finishing with rib.
