The Weekend Slipover is knitted from the top down. First, the top of the back piece is knitted back and forth, the slope of the shoulders being formed with shortened needles (reversible needles). Then the shoulders are knitted, which are gathered at the front to form the front piece. The front and back piece are then gathered to form the body, and knitted in the round on circular needles. Ribbed edges at the neck and sleeve openings are knitted last, and the latter is knitted with decreases at the armhole.

Knit a swatch to find the needle size that gives you the right gauge.

Size guide

The Weekend Slipover should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 20-25 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished vest are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting to assess which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your chest (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit a size S. A vest in size S has an upper width of 112 cm and in the aforementioned example will provide a range of movement (positive ease) of 22 cm.

The model in the picture is wearing size XS, has a chest measurement of 82 cm and is 164 cm tall.
