The Novice Sweater – Chunky Edition is knitted from the top down. This means you start by knitting the rib at the neckline, then the yoke, then the body and finally the sleeves. The sweater is knitted in stocking stitch, while the edges are knitted in rib.
Novice Sweater – Chunky Edition has a round yoke. It is formed by knitting increases on four of the rounds evenly distributed around the yoke.
Size guide and measurements
Please note that you can only use the measurements in the pattern if the knitting tension is adhered to.
The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The Novice Sweater – Chunky Edition should have a positive ease of movement of approximately 18 cm. This means that if you, for example, measure 95 cm around your chest (measure yourself with a tape measure around your chest or at the widest point of your upper body), you should knit size M, which has a width of 114 cm. A sweater in size M will in the above example give a positive ease of movement of 19 cm.
The model in the picture is wearing size XS, has a chest measurement of 82 cm and is 164 cm tall.
