Jenny Sweater is knitted in the round from the bottom up in smocking with raglan decreases. The body and sleeves are knitted separately, then they are joined on the same circular needle, and the yoke is knitted. The neck is knitted back and forth on the needle, and the neckline is formed by continuously decreasing stitches. The neckline is finally knitted on from the opened stitches.

Knit a swatch to check your knitting tension before you start.

Size guide

Jenny Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 19 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. If you, for example, measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an upper width of 109 cm and in the above example will give a positive ease of movement of 19 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the smaller size, as smocking will grow slightly with use.
