The Chestnut Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the top of the back piece is knitted back and forth, with the slope of the shoulders being shaped with reverse knitting needles to achieve a good fit. Then the shoulders are knitted back and forth on circular needles, and these are gathered at the front to form the front piece. The front and back piece are then gathered to form the body, and knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted from open sts along the sleeve opening and knitted in the round on circular needles and double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. Finally, the large polo collar at the neck is knitted from open sts.

Size guide

Chestnut Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 30 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The fit is oversized. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement measured on your own body of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an upper width of 120 cm and in the aforementioned example will provide a range of movement (positive ease) of 30 cm.
