Ingrid Sweater - Paper
The Ingrid Sweater is knitted from the top down in textured knit. First, the back piece is knitted, which is shaped with reverse knitting needles to create a shoulder slope. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are also shaped with reverse knitting needles to create a shoulder slope. The shoulders are gathered at the front to the front piece. The front and back piece are gathered under the armhole to form the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round from the open stitches in the sleeve opening. The Ingrid Sweater is knitted with textured knit, which consists of three different pattern segments. Between each of these, a segment with a lace pattern is knitted.
Knit a test piece to measure the knitting tension before you start – note that the knitting tension in both height and width must be correct to achieve the measurements stated on the front.
Size guide
Ingrid Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 20 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an upper width of 112 cm, and in the aforementioned example will provide a range of movement (positive ease) of 22 cm.
