Moby Sweater Junior - Paper

Moby Sweater Junior is knitted from the top down with textured and cable knit. First, the back piece is knitted, which is shaped with shortened needles (reversible needles) to create a shoulder slope. Then, stitches are picked up for the shoulders, which are gathered at the front to form the front piece. The front and back pieces are gathered under the armhole to form the body, which is knitted straight down. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. The neckline is knitted with a rib edge, which is folded and knitted down.

Knit a swatch to check what needle size you need to use to achieve the correct gauge - note that it may vary from yarn to yarn. Be careful when washing the swatch, as textured knits can shrink in the wash.

Recommended needles: Circular needle 4 mm (60 or 80 cm), circular needle 3.5 mm (60 or 80 cm), circular needle 3 mm (40 cm), double pointed needles 3.5 mm and 4 mm, cable needle

Materials: Suggestion 1: 400 (450) 500 (550) 600 g Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 91 m)

Suggestion 2: 400 (400) 450 (500) 500 g Double Sunday from Sandnes Garn (50 g = 108 m) together with 100 (100) 125 (125) 125-150 g Tynn Silk Mohair from Sandnes Garn (25 g = 212 m).

Thin elastic thread for neckline.
