November Balaclava is knitted from the top down in half rib. First, a square is knitted, corresponding to the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on each side of this square, and the balaclava is knitted straight down, finally gathered under the chin and then knitted in the round. Finally, a rib edge is knitted in the face opening.

Knit a swatch to find the needle size that gives you the right gauge. Wash the swatch before measuring the gauge.
