Novice Cardigan - Chunky Edition - Paper

The Novice Cardigan – Chunky Edition is knitted from the top down. This means that you start by knitting the rib at the neckline, then the yoke, then the body and finally the sleeves. The cardigan is knitted in stocking stitch, while the edges are knitted in rib. The Novice Cardigan – Chunky Edition has a round yoke. This is formed by knitting increases on four rows evenly distributed on the yoke.

The Novice Cardigan – Chunky Edition should have a positive ease of movement of approximately 15 cm (i.e. the cardigan should be approximately 15 cm larger than you in circumference). This means that if you measure 88 cm around the chest (measure yourself with a tape measure around the chest or the widest part of your torso), you should knit size S, which has a chest width of 103 cm. This gives you a range of movement of 15 cm.
