Sunday Balaclava - Paper
The Sunday Balaclava is worked from the top down in double rib, and at the neck it turns into a round yoke with rib and increases. First, a square is worked to match the top of the head. Then, stitches are picked up on each side of this square, and the balaclava is worked straight down before finally picking up sts, corresponding to under the chin, to be worked in the round in rib with increases. Reverse rows are worked to raise the neck. Finally, a rib edge is worked in the face opening.
