Alice Top is knitted from the bottom up. The body is knitted in the round in stocking stitch, and the piece is then divided into front and back pieces, which are knitted separately, back and forth in stocking stitch. The back piece is knitted in one piece, while the V-neck is knitted in the front. The pattern also includes instructions for knitting the top from the middle using temporary casting-on, so that the final length of the top can be adjusted to the very end.
