Eva Cardigan - Paper

Eva Cardigan is knitted from the top down. First, the top part of the back piece is knitted with increases. Then the shoulders are knitted from the open stitches at the top of the back piece. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke is knitted together on circular needle, while increasing to create a V-neck at the front. The body is knitted back and forth on circular needle, and the sleeves are knitted in the round. Finally, sts are picked up along the front edges, and a wide button band is knitted in double rib.

Size guide

Eva Cardigan should have a positive ease of movement of approximately 26 cm in the smallest sizes, but gradually less in the larger sizes. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a bust measurement, measured on your own body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are stated on the front of the pattern. Please note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is adhered to. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to assess which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the bust (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size. S. A cardigan in size S has an upper width of 116 cm, and in the aforementioned example will provide a range of movement (positive ease) of 26 cm.
