Ankers Jacket is knitted top down, back and forth on circular needles. The yoke consists of rib segments with increases followed by rows with classic raglan increases. The button bands are knitted last, by picking up stitches along the front edges.

Size guide

Ankers Jacket should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 10 cm in relation to the bust measurement in the smallest sizes and approx. 20 cm in the larger sizes. The sizes 0-3 months (3-6 months) 6-9 months (9-12 months) 1-2 years (2-3 years) 3-4 years (4-5 years) 5-6 years (6-7 years) 7-8 years (8-9 years) 9-10 years (10-12 years) correspond to a bust measurement of approx. 42 (45) 47 (49) 53 (54) 56 (57) 59 (62) 64 (68) 72 (77) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is observed). If the recipient e.g. measures 57 cm around the bust, you should knit size 4-5 years. A sweater in size 4-5 years has an upper width of 74 cm and in the above example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 17 cm. If the measured bust measurement deviates from the age guide, you should be aware of adapting the lengths to the person you are knitting for. The same applies if the child is shorter/taller than average.
