Fortune sweater - Paper
The Fortune Sweater is knitted from the top down with raglan increases and the sleeves are three-quarter length. It is knitted in stocking stitch with a clover pattern. The rib of the neck is knitted first and folded double and then knitted together. From here on, short rows/turning rows with twists are worked on the front piece, to form the neckline. At the same time as the turning rows and raglan increases are worked, the clover pattern is also worked – be careful to get the clover pattern placed correctly, so that it is symmetrical and meets correctly under the armhole.
Size guide
The Fortune Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 15-25 cm in relation to your chest measurement. Before you start knitting, you should measure your chest circumference with a measuring tape. Add 15-25 cm to your chest circumference (depending on how loose or tight you want your Fortune Sweater to be), and knit the size that best fits this measurement. Example: You measure yourself at 95 cm around the chest. Add 15-25 cm to this measurement, and you get 110-120 cm. (95 cm chest circumference + 15-25 cm range of movement = 110-120 cm. Size M with a top width of 114 cm is in this range).
