441 Malva jacket - paper pattern
Purchasing patterns from Rauma also requires the purchase of at least 4 skeins of yarn from Rauma Garn.
The Malva jacket is a stockinette stitch, v-neck jacket with a short and elegant fit. The jacket looks like it has set-in sleeves, but the entire shoulder construction is knitted in one piece – an advanced raglan increase. The jacket is knitted from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted with slanted shoulders. Then, sts are picked up along the shoulders, and the front pieces are knitted in the same way. Then, everything is put on the same needle while knitting up stitches for the sleeve tops along each side of the piece. You continue over all the stitches while first increasing stitches for the sleeves and then for both the body and sleeves at the same time. At the same time, you also increase for the v-neck. When the increases are finished, the piece is divided and the sleeves and body are knitted separately and finished with a ribbed edge. The body has decreases on each side so that the jacket narrows towards the waist. Finally, sts are knitted up along the entire neckline and front edges, and the edge is knitted with buttonholes.
