443 Kalamata Winter Sweater - paper pattern

Kalamata winter sweater is a roomy, stockinette-knit sweater with 2-2 rib ends and a double neckline. The sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the back piece is knitted under the sleeves - with reverse knitting to form slanted shoulders. Then, stitches are knitted along the shoulders on each side for the front pieces, which are knitted separately. Reverse knitting is knitted to form the slanted shoulder, and then increases are made for the neckline, before the front pieces are knitted together mid front. The front piece is knitted under the sleeves, then the front and back pieces are joined and knitted in the round to the full length. Stitches for the sleeves are knitted around the armholes and the sleeves are first knitted back and forth with reverse knitting to form the sleeve top, then knitted in the round to the desired length. Finally, sts are knitted around the neck opening to the neckline. The edge is knitted in double rib and folded double. For a roomy shape, choose a size with a chest width 15-25 cm larger than your own.
