The Stockholm Sweater is knitted from the top down in stockinette stitch in double thread silk/mohair. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, and then stitches are picked up for the shoulders along the cast-on edge of the back. The shoulders are knitted separately with shortened needles (reversible needles), so that a wedge is formed. The front and back pieces are gathered under the armhole, and the body is knitted in the round on circular needles. Along the arm openings, stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with Magic Loop. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neck opening, where a rib edge is knitted, which is finally folded and sewn to the wrong side. The Stockholm Sweater is assembly-free, with the exception of the folded edge of the neck edge.

Size guide

Stockholm Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. If you e.g. measures 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has a width of 105 cm and in the above example will give a range of movement (positive ease) of 15 cm.
