Chunky Vest is a thick vest in patent knit, and is just as suitable for cool summer evenings with a t-shirt as it is under a winter jacket on a cold January morning. The vest is knitted back and forth, from the bottom up, in patent knit with double thread on thick needles. The fold edges are picked up at the end and knitted with single thread on thinner needles. This combination of needle size and technique gives a nice effect, with the rough against the smooth. The patent knit is stretchy and moves when worn. The edges in stockinette stitch help to keep the shape in place, and give the garment a nice finish.
