The Sørlandslua is knitted from the bottom up, with a ribbed edge in 1 twisted knit and 1 twisted purl. The rib is folded double and knitted together as you work. When the hat is finished, the edge is folded once over the area in stockinette stitch. The Sørlandslua thus has three layers over the ears, which means it fits well on your head and keeps you nice and warm on cold days.
