Le Knit - Porcelain Yoke Sweater - Paper
The Porcelain Yoke Sweater is easy to knit because the pattern is only worked from the right side. The reverse rows are worked so that the neckline is higher at the back than at the front. The reverse rows are worked after the neckline, i.e. before the pattern begins.

Guiding pins
Circular needles 3 and 4 mm (40 and 80 cm).
Double pointed needles 3 mm. If you use magic loop, you don't need double pointed needles.
Knitting strength
21 mx approx. 26 rows solid color stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles.
21 mx approx. 25 rows pattern = 10 x 10 cm on 4 mm needles.
Note: Everything is knitted with 2 strands of yarn, 1 strand of each quality.
Wash the sample before measuring the gauge. Make sure the gauge is the same in width (21 sts in 10 cm) whether you are knitting solid color stocking stitch or pattern stitch. If the pattern tends to be tighter than the solid color, you may want to knit the pattern on half a size thicker needles.
Size selection
The Porcelain Yoke Sweater is intended to have a range of motion of approximately 14-20 cm. It is shown here with a range of motion (positive ease) of 20 cm. The sweater is therefore shown on a model with an upper width that is 20 cm less than the upper width of the sweater.
Find your personal chest measurement by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements first in the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater's measurement. For example, if your chest measurement is 94 cm, a size M will give you a range of motion of 20 cm (114 cm – 94 cm = 20 cm). *Length is measured at the center back, not including the neckline.
Construction
The Porcelain Yoke Sweater is knitted from the top down. The neckline is double, so it is folded and knitted together. After the neckline, work reverse rows, so the neckline is deeper at the front than at the back. Now work the round yoke with 2 pattern borders and increases. Then work the raglan increases before finishing the body and sleeves separately. The 3rd pattern border is knitted at the top of the body and sleeves.
