The Novice Slipover is worked top down in stockinette stitch. First the back piece is worked, and then stitches are picked up in the cast-on edge of the back piece to form the shoulders. The shoulders are gathered at the front to form the front piece. The back piece and front piece are gathered under the armhole to form the body, which is worked in the round on circular needles. Finally, rib edges are worked along the neckline and armholes. There are help videos for all steps in the pattern here.

Size guide

The Novice Slipover should have a positive ease of approx. 17 cm in relation to your bust measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. Measure yourself before you start knitting to assess which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your bust (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S which has a width of 107 cm. This will give a positive ease of 17 cm in the example above.
