Aros Sweater - Paper
Aros Sweater is knitted from the top down. First back and forth on the circular needle to form the neckline, and then in the round on the circular needle. The yoke is constructed so that shoulder increases are first knitted on the RS and WS. Then sleeve increases are knitted, and finally a piece with raglan increases is knitted. The rib edge of the neck is finally knitted from the open sts and cast on twice. The sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique.
Aros Sweater has stripes in 7 different colors. The sweater can also be knitted in one color or in stripes with fewer colors.
If you want an Aros Dress rather than an Aros Sweater, just extend the bodice to dress length.
Size guide
Aros Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 5 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a chest measurement, measured on your own body, of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is adhered to). Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A sweater in size S has an upper width of 95 cm and in the aforementioned example will provide a range of movement (positive ease) of 5 cm.
If you extend to dress length, the range of motion (positive ease) around the hips should be 0 cm or greater.
