Cast on stitches for the back piece, which is worked back and forth with reverse stitches and increases to form slanted shoulders. Continue to work in stockinette stitch back and forth, and increase stitches for armholes. Then, cast on stitches for the front pieces, which are worked back and forth in stockinette stitch, and increase stitches for the neckline. The front pieces are knitted together to form one front piece and knitted down to under the sleeves, before the front piece is knitted together with the back piece. The front and back pieces are knitted

in the round in stocking stitch before finishing with a rib. Knit up stitches for the sleeves, which are worked with reverse needles to form the sleeve top, continue to knit in the round with increases before finishing with a rib. Finally, knit the neckline in rib and fold double towards the wrong side.

KNITTING GAUGE: 22 stitches stockinette stitch with 1 thread of each quality on needle size 3½ = 10 cm

Recommended needles: Needle no. 3½

Knitting tension: 22 stitches = 10 cm
