Plain Yoke Blouse is stockinette stitch and very easy to knit. The double hem at the bottom gives a nice finish and a nice drape. The sleeves and neck have a rolled edge in stockinette stitch. The pattern includes both the Detailed Edition and the even simpler Debutant Edition which has no turning needles in the neckline.

Size selection

The Plain Yoke Blouse is intended to have a positive ease of movement of approximately 8-16 cm. The brown, olive green and blue have a positive ease of movement of 13 cm. The red and light tweed are shown with a positive ease of movement of 8 cm.

Find your personal chest measurement by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements first in the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater's measurement. For example, if your chest measurement is 94 cm, a size M will give you 15 cm of freedom of movement (109 cm – 94 cm = 15 cm). *Length is measured at the center back, not including the neckline.

Construction, detailed edition (as in the picture)

The Plain Yoke Blouse is knitted from the top down with a raised neck using German short rows (GSR). When knitting the reverse rows, you knit back and forth in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side). Apart from the reverse rows, the sweater is knitted exclusively in knit stitches. The round yoke is formed by increasing.

Construction, debutant edition

The Plain Yoke Blouse is knitted from the top down. Everything is knitted in the round in stocking stitch, so you only knit stitches. The round yoke is formed with increases. The only difference between the “Detailed edition” and the “Debutant edition” is that the neckline in the “Debutant edition” is the same front and back.
