Cast on stitches for the back piece, which is worked back and forth with reverse stitches and increases to form slanted shoulders. Continue working in stockinette stitch back and forth, and increase stitches for armholes. Then cast on stitches for the front pieces, which are worked back and forth in stockinette stitch, and increase stitches for the neckline.

The front pieces are knitted together with the back piece. The front and back pieces are knitted back and forth in stocking stitch, before finishing with a rib.

Knit up stitches for the sleeves, which are worked with reverse needles to form the sleeve top, continue knitting in the round with increases before finishing with a rib. Finally, knit the front edges and neckline.

Wash the jacket and lay it flat according to the stated measurements to get the correct fit.

Recommended needles: Needle no. 3, Needle no. 3½
