Marseille Sweater - Paper

The Marseille Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the top of the back piece is knitted back and forth, and the shoulder slope is formed with reverse knitting needles for a good fit. Then the shoulders are knitted in the same way with reverse knitting needles separately, back and forth on circular needles. The shoulders are gathered at the front to form the front piece. The front and back piece are then gathered to form the body, which is knitted in the round on circular needles. The sleeves are knitted from open stitches along the sleeve opening, and they are given a slope using reverse knitting needles. The sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles and on double pointed needles. The neck rib is finally knitted from open stitches, and it is folded double and knitted down to the end. The Marseille Sweater is knitted with stripes, and the placement of these is indicated in the pattern.

The Marseille Sweater should have a range of motion of approx. 25 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The fit is oversized. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a chest measurement of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm.
