Young's beanie is knitted from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, with an extra wide fold edge. The yarn choice gives a dense, sturdy and fluffy hat, which keeps wind and cold weather out. The fold edge over the ears is doubled and knitted together during the work. Young's beanie therefore has three layers over the ears. The hat should fit snugly around the head, but with some extra length that gives it a slightly oversized fit.
