Structure Scarf - Paper

Structure Scarf is knitted partly in two-tone English rib and partly in rib. The needle size is changed when changing between the two techniques, so that the same knitting tension is maintained throughout the work. The scarf is knitted from the middle out towards the ends, so that it can be finished the same way at both ends. The ends are finished with decreases in English rib and a braided cord with a pompom.

Knit a swatch before you start, to find the needle sizes that give the right knitting tension. The important thing is to achieve the same knitting tension for both rib and English rib, so that the scarf is the same width throughout.

Knitting tension: 19 stitches x 23 rows in English rib on 3.5 mm needles with two strands. Yarn = 10 x 10 cm.

Recommended needles: Circular needle 5 mm (60 cm), circular needle 3.5 mm (60 cm)
