Marie Clutch - Paper

Marie Clutch is knitted in one piece from the bottom up. First, the bottom is knitted in double stitch. Then, stitches are picked up along all sides of the bottom, and the sides of the clutch are knitted in garter slip stitch. The top of the clutch is knitted by first knitting the two end loops in double stitch, and then knitting the two bars that are on each side of the zipper. Next, the zipper is sewn in place with a needle and thread, and finally the lining is sewn (by machine or by hand) and assembled into the clutch. The pattern also includes instructions for sewing the lining.

Materials: Approx. 34 (70) g Pelsuld 8/2 from Hjelholts Uldspinderi (100 g = 400 m) or approx. 50 (100) g Jensen from Isager (50 g = 125 m) are knitted together with approx. 16 (31) g Brushed Lace from Mohair by Canard (25 g = 210 m) or approx. 15 (29) g Soft Silk Mohair from Knitting for Olive (25 g = 225 m) or approx. 16 (31) g Silk Mohair from Isager (25 g = 212 m).

Zipper 4 mm, 17 (23) cm. Fabric for lining, 25 x 36 cm (33 x 52 cm).
