Gradually, the stitches from the front and back piece are gathered, and the body is knitted in the round in stocking stitch on the same needle. Finally, the rib on the body is knitted on two separate needles, to form the slit in the side. Recommended help videos are listed at the bottom of the pattern.
Knit a swatch before you start, so you are sure that the knitting tension is correct. The dress should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 5-10 cm.
