Novemberknits - Kobe Cardigan - Paper
Kobe Cardigan is a light and soft cardigan with balloon sleeves. It is assembly-free and is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back piece is knitted before picking up stitches on each side to form the shoulder and neck cutout. Gradually, the stitches from the front and back piece are gathered on the same needle, and the rest of the body is knitted back and forth in stocking stitch. The sleeves are knitted in simple moss stitch, and without decreases, to create the balloon effect.
Knit a test piece before you start, so that you are sure that the knitting tension is correct. The cardigan should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 15-20 cm.
