The christening gown is knitted from the top down. The yoke is first knitted back and forth on the circular needle, so that a slit is formed in the neck. Then the rest of the yoke is knitted in the round on the circular needle. The skirt is also knitted in the round on the circular needle, and a nice dandelion pattern with increases is knitted, so that the skirt has width. The dandelion pattern gradually gets wider down the dress – like dandelion seeds flying in the wind. The sleeves are knitted on double pointed needles. Finally, an i-cord edge is knitted along the neckline and in the slit. The length of the christening gown can be adjusted as desired.
