Jenny Jacket is knitted from the bottom up in smocking. The body and sleeves are knitted separately, then they are joined on the same circular needle and the yoke is knitted. The yoke is finished with reverse rows at the top to form the neckline. The body is knitted back and forth, while the sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges and button bars are knitted. Then the neckline is knitted.

Size guide

Jenny Jacket should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 12-15 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to a chest measurement, measured on your own body, of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-105 (105-115) 115-125 (125-135) cm. The measurements of the finished cardigan are stated on the front of the pattern. Measure yourself before you start knitting, to consider which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around the chest (or the widest part of your upper body), you should knit size S. A cardigan in size S has an upper width of 102 cm and in the above example will give a positive ease of movement of 12 cm. If you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the smaller size, as smocking will grow slightly with use.
